I wrote this article as an update to my previous article on reproductive rights in my state. I thought it would be helpful to do a series of articles keeping our audience informed on the swiftly changing situation surrounding abortion laws in our area.

I wrote this article a little less than a year after the United States Supreme Court overturned its original decision on the Roe vs. Wade case. Many changes were happening surrounding reproductive rights in my state and I thought it would be an important issue to cover since most of the RMR's audience are young women who would be affected by these laws.

I wrote this article in December of 2022 during my junior year of college when I worked for a campus magazine. I noticed that the holiday season could be a particularly lonely and depressing time for many people including myself. I thought this issue was worth looking into and I really enjoyed the research that went into covering this. Considering that this is the first article I ever published, I am very proud of it.
